Summary of both weekly reports
Since it turned out that the division of the reports on my general work and my work regarding the OR thins out the reports too much, all reports are combined again in the usual weekly report.
Updates to the DB V 100 packages and the DBAG V 100 package
As part of the revision of the .eng and .wag files, I noticed several errors in the models of my V 100 packages that I have removed in the last few days. These were errors in the texture files, all of which only occurred with the crimson and oriental red / white locomotives. On these locomotives, the high voltage flashes on the exhaust and heater vent panels were different heights, which has now been corrected. There was also a dot on the right-hand side of the driver's cab window in the direction of travel of the locomotives in crimson, which had no place there. This has also been removed. It remains to mention V 100 2281, which erroneously had a hinged window on the left in the direction of travel, which was no longer installed from the third construction lot, to which V 100 2281 belongs. Instead, from the third construction lot in the direction of travel, only windows that are permanently installed were installed on the left. This bug has also been fixed. As usual, the revised packages are available under the following links.
Revision of the V 100 replacement and supplement packages
I also dedicated myself to this work. It is sometimes very time-consuming to refine the rough representations of aging, but the results are impressive and will then also come into their own in the OR.
Innovations in Open Rails
There are a few new things here too. The development of the representation of the hydraulic transmission is expected to be completed much earlier than originally planned, in June 2022. The reason for this lies in the systematic procurement of numerous original documents relating to hydraulic transmissions in locomotives.
In addition, further units of measurement will be integrated into Open Rails. It's all about the units of measurement
Pferdestärke (PS)
Atmosphären-Überdruck (atü)
torque (M)
Planned route for Open Rails
As previously announced, a route for Open Rails is being planned and, as already mentioned, this is supposed to be a branch line in northern Germany. When determining the area, the decision fell on the area of East Holstein. But more will not be revealed yet.
Now again on time
The upcoming weekly report of calendar week 2 will appear again on time on Sunday.
Until next time
