Packages of the V 100 of the Bundesbahn and the DBAG revised

Finally finished!

I have finally been able to complete the revision of my packages for the V 100 of the Bundesbahn and the DBAG. No less than 4420 textures of all 340 locomotives of all four packages have been reworked. A total of 20 fixes and improvements have been made. What I did in detail is listed below.

General

- Cleanup of all textures. All representations that are not required have been removed and replaced by black areas. The existing black areas, which often consisted of many dark shades in addition to black, were completely replaced with black (RGB = 0,0,0). The textures therefore only consist of a purely black background and the representations that are actually required.

- Color matching of all grab and shunting handles.

Driver's cab

- Corrected the position of the front windows of the driver's cab. The windows were misaligned. There were four different positions in total. These erroneous representations have been corrected so that there is now only one position of the front window that corresponds to the original. In addition, the edges of the rubber surrounds and the metal frame of the front windows were not displayed cleanly, which was also corrected.

- Revision of the rubber surround and the metal frames of the front and side windows of the driver's cab. The rubber edging of the front windows and the metal frames of the front and side windows had an unrealistic color scheme and the metal also looked "flat". The coloring of the rubber bezels and the metal frames have been reworked so that they now also look like rubber and metal and the metal frames have been reworked so that they now appear three-dimensional.

- Correction of the tint of the window glass. The tinting of the window glass was, so to speak, invisible on the models in the oriental red / white color scheme due to an incorrect alpha texture. This alpha texture has been corrected and the coloring of the window glass has been unified in the textures of all models.

- Correction of the door handles of the cab doors. The door handles were a different color scheme depending on the locomotive color scheme, although these are unpainted. Therefore, the coloring of the door handles was unified.

- The interior of the driver's cab was partially incorrectly displayed in terms of colour, which has been corrected.

- The rubber lips between the superstructure and the driver's cab were inconsistently aligned, which has been corrected.

Front superstructure

- Correction of the fan grill. The fan grill above the fan at the front of the front superstructure did not correspond to the original. The original has five longitudinal and 15 transverse struts, which is why the previous representation of the fan grille has been changed accordingly.

- Revision of the front ends in the lower area. The previous representation was unrealistic and was replaced by a representation corresponding to the original.

- Corrected position of the fan blades on the front end of all V 100. The fan blades were previously offset to the right and have now been aligned exactly in the middle.

- Corrected representation of the fan frame on the front end of all V 100. The position of the screws with which the fan frame is fastened was unrealistic in terms of number and position and was corrected according to the original.

- Revision of the fan blades on the front end of the V 100.20 and V 100.23. The depiction of the fan fins was unrealistic and was replaced with a depiction corresponding to the original.

- Revision of the lamps. The lamps of the triple peak signal and final signal have been replaced by textures of much better quality.

- Revision of the lamp sockets on the front sides. The edge of the lamp sockets has always been white, although this should actually be metal gray. The spot on the corresponding texture was located and given a color scheme to match that of the lamp sockets.

Rear superstructure

- Alignment of the maintenance hatches on the rear structure. The maintenance hatches on the rear superstructure on both sides below and above were misaligned. Their positions have been adjusted according to the original.

- Correction of the maintenance flap on the rear superstructure on the left. This maintenance hatch from the 1st and 2nd batch has two recessed grips that were misaligned and also shown in different shapes. The recessed grips have been remade and aligned correctly.

Frame

- Correction of the "empty" texture areas on the frame. There were various places on the frame that were not actually colored, but were only displayed in black, because the corresponding areas of the texture were not displayed, only the black background. These "empty" spots on the texture have each been given the correct hues.

- Corrected factory sign alignment. On the Epoch III locomotives in the package PF DB V 100 Paket 2, the works signs were attached to the frame at different heights. The misalignment has been corrected.

- Squash tank textures were incomplete and therefore had "empty" spots on the ends and bottom, which has been corrected.

- Correction of the treads of the wheelsets. Since the wheels of the wheel sets were displayed in a different way on the texture and were also not displayed cleanly, color distortions appeared on the running surfaces of the right wheels of the wheel sets that have no place there. Therefore, the representation on the texture has been completely renewed and correctly aligned.

Of course, all packages now also have readme data in German, French and English. The content of the readme files has also been extensively revised.
