More wagons from the Dortmunder Eisenbahn
The wagons of the Dortmunder Eisenbahn are based on the corresponding models from Märklin. It was my intention to make as many wagons with different wagon numbers. One of these wagons is wagon 3624, but I couldn't find a suitable photo of such a wagon to extract the number "4" from and insert it into the texture file. Therefore, there is no wagon with wagon number 3624 in the package I published yesterday.
How could it have been otherwise? Today, one day after the package was published, I found a suitable photo template and can therefore submit the wagons whose number contains the number.
The difficulty with the freight wagons
For packages in which the rolling stock needs to be completed using GR files, it is my intention to make this work as easy as possible for you. That's why when it comes to locomotives based on GR material, I chose to place each locomotive in its own folder. This has led to a large number of locomotive folders for certain series. I didn't want to repeat that with the freight cars. Therefore I had to think about how I could accommodate several wagons in one folder if possible. So I needed a folder that contained a sufficient number of wagons of the same design. Luckily, back when I worked for GR, I created folders that only contained one genre.
Thanks to these folders it is possible to accommodate several wagons of the same type in one folder. If I make variants of the Ucs design, I can fit up to five of these wagons in one folder.
The division into epochs
Since there will be many people among the freight wagons who are not in favor of the railway reform and the resulting epoch division, I will point out to whom this is necessary.
The following works
In the coming days I will continue making Fal, going from north to south on the map. That means next up are Fal from Denmark from HERNINGVAERKET I/S VESTKRAFT for eras IV and V, with era V referring to the late 90s.
Until next time
