With its own website for two years

Two years ago today I officially launched my website fahrt-frei.fr. The second year of my site brought a lot of new things with it and that will not change in the third year either.

Another step towards the future

Today I joined the association "Freunde der Eisenbahn in Hamburg e.V. (FdE)" with effect from January 1st, 2023. What does that have to do with free travel? Well, Vossloh, the locomotive manufacturer that is the successor to Maschinenwerke Kiel (MaK), recently handed over its entire old archive to the FdE association. As a member, I have access to all of the archives and this means that I now also have access to the original technical drawings of numerous locomotives and railcars that have been built by MaK over the years. As a result, I can finally tackle my main goal, which is to build true-to-the-original locomotives and railcars for the OR. An important step towards the future has thus been taken.

Now it is starting

By joining the FdE association and by other positive developments, I can finally concentrate properly on my work. I know I've said that many times and then there were sometimes considerable delays in my work. However, the reasons for these delays have now finally disappeared, which is why I can now actually carry out my work to the desired extent. In addition, there is also your encouragement, which always gives you the strength to continue. I really appreciate your encouragement, which is why I would like to thank you all very much.

My well-known motto

You know my guiding principle and nothing will change in the third year of Fahrt frei. I will continue. Keep going!
