Today, like 150 years ago: a new beginning
150 years ago today, on January 18, 1871, the proclamation of the empire took place in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. This was a new beginning for Germany, which ended the hopeless confusion of the 309 individual states of the Holy Roman Empire of the German nation and created a unified German state.
150 years later, today, the time has come again for a new beginning. This new beginning is not nearly as significant as the proclamation 150 years ago, but for you as well as for me much will change for the better from now on.
From now on I will only publish all weekly reports and announcements regarding newly available rolling stock packages and later also my task packages here. There are several reasons for this.
First there is the discontinuation of the note function on Facebook, which I have already announced, which is why my announcements can no longer be published there in the usual form. By the way, my own website offers a lot more design options in this regard than there ever was on Facebook.
The real reason for the change, however, lies in the events of the past weeks and months. Various well-known internet platforms suddenly began to operate censorship on a large scale. So also Facebook and Google, where my rolling stock packages are currently still located. This restriction of freedom of expression, which according to the Basic Law does not take place, is outrageous and can therefore no longer be supported. That's why I've made sure that my website fahrt-frei.fr is up and running as quickly as possible in order to make this change as quickly as possible.
As you can easily see, the entire site is still one big construction site. The site offers an enormous number of functions and design options, many of which I don't really know yet, but that's yet to come. Therefore, it can be assumed that the overall appearance of the page will change over time.
In any case, it is certain that I will design the page in the colors of the Deutschen Bundesbahn from 1987; as you already know from my weekly reports and announcements on Facebook and what you can already see from the familiar title bar.
So there is still a lot for me to do. And that's why I remain as usual with:
Until next time
