New year 2026

A new year has begun

First of all, I wish you all a happy new year and hope that you all arrived safely in 2026. Lots of people make resolutions at the beginning of a new year, and that goes for me and for Fahrt frei too.

The goals for Fahrt frei in 2026

Due to the disruptions in the second half of 2025, I have a particularly busy 2026. First, I'll be producing the remaining freight cars.

Then, a new goal is to replace the n-cars in CityBahn and Regio liveries with the new Spike models featuring opening doors. Since Spike released many additional n-cars alongside these models, these will be included in the updated packages. In other words, there will be significantly more n-cars available in the future than before.

The rolling stock packages that haven't yet been released will be completed this year.
